Essential User Data

To provide our services, we store the following Discord IDs locally:

  • User IDs: Linked to your play history (Top Songs) and whitelist admin actions.
  • Guild IDs: Linked to server configuration (prefixes, language, 24/7 mode).

Music History Data

When you play a song, we store:

  • Song Titles & URLs
  • The User ID of who requested it
  • Play counts and timestamps

This allows commands like /history and /myhistory to function.

Third-Party Integrations (Last.fm)

If you voluntarily use /lastfm login, we store:

  • Your Last.fm Username
  • A session key provided by Last.fm (to scrobble on your behalf)
  • Your Discord User ID (to map the two accounts)

2. How We Use Information

  • Ranking: To generate "Most Played" lists for servers and users.
  • Configuration: To remember your server's settings (language, music channel, etc.).
  • Auth: To keep you logged in to services like Last.fm.
  • Whitelisting: To track which servers have premium/whitelist access.

3. Data Storage & Tracking

We use a local database. We do not sell your data.

  • No Message Content: We do not store the content of your messages. We only process commands.
  • No Voice Recordings: We do not record or store any voice conversations. We only join channels to play audio.
  • Cookies: Aura Music's website does not use tracking cookies.

4. Data Retention

  • Server settings are retained until the bot leaves the server.
  • Play history is retained for statistical purposes but can be cleared at any time.
  • Last.fm session keys are stored until you run /lastfm logout.

5. Your Data Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Clear History: Use /myhistory clear to delete your personal viewing/listening data immediately.
  • Disconnect Services: Use /lastfm logout to unlink your accounts and delete tokens.
  • Full Deletion: You may request full data deletion by contacting us via our Support Server.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your IDs and tokens using secure database practices. Access is limited to the bot's core operations.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our bot's features. Continued use of Aura Music implies acceptance of these terms.
